I have used UV4L on the Pi itself, then configured Weaved for an http service on port 8080 (UV4L configuration) and it works fine.
If you would like to use Weaved services on your Pi to connect to your IP camera, it can be done if your IP camera is on a fixed address (whether static or via DHCP reservation for example),
Suppose that your IP camera is on 192.168.2.100, port 80.
Install an http service on your Pi at port 80. If you already have an http service on your Pi at port 80, then select "Custom" from the Protocol Selection menu, call the protocol "http-cam" (anything other than "http", which is already being used), tell it that it's a web protocol, and set the port to 80.
After that is done, exit the Weaved installer and edit the file /etc/weaved/services/Weavedhttp-cam80.conf (assuming you used the http-cam protocol name). Above the UID, add the line:
or whatever your IP camera's IP address is.
Save the file. Next, run:
to restart that daemon. Now the Weaved daemon will operate as a proxy to your IP cam.
Please let me know if this works OK or if you have any questions about it. At present the 1.3-03 installer is not designed to let you do this but it is a simple workaround to get it to happen.
