The plugs that were sent out to Hackathon participants have an unfortunate issue with spaces in the Wi-Fi SSID. I have prepared a new firmware image that should resolve this issue.
1) Download the file "plug-upgrade-fix1.bin" from here: https://github.com/weaved/plug_openwrt/tree/master/bin/ramips
2) Put this file into the content folder of the web server you have set up for supporting firmware upgrades.
3) Connect your laptop's Wi-Fi adapter to the Plug's "AJ_OpenWRT" SSID.
3) Make an SSH connection to the plug (IP: 192.168.252.1, credentials: root/password), then enter:
sysupgrade -v plug-upgrade-fix1.bin
192.168.1.213 being your PC's IP address (which it might or might not be). Confirm your PC's IP address using:
for Mac/Linux, or
The md5sum step is recommended to make sure that the image transferred correctly. The md5 sum for plug-upgrade-fix1.bin is shown below. If the md5 checksum does NOT match, do NOT run the sysupgrade utility! Try downloading the bin file again and check again.
// File Checksum Integrity Verifier version 2.05.
This firmware image also has Alljoyn mode disabled by default compared to the previous version. So the default Wi-Fi SSID will be Weaved-xxxxxx instead of AJ_OpenWRT.
